How to get Distinction overall in ICT OCR National level 3?

I am doing ICT OCR National level 3 certificate which is equivalent to an A-level. I am doing 6 units (1, 2, 3, 4, 11 & 20). In order to get distinction I need to get 14-18 points. For a pass 1 point, merit 2 points and distinction 3 points (From UCAS). Does this refer to the units i.e. if I get 2 Distinctions for two of the units and the other 4 a merit, is it an overall Distinction?
