I just got my tax refund (yay!) and my dad is giving me our ford taurus as a hand-me-down but in order for me to drive it, I am in desperate need of a transmission replacement. The car turns on, but doesn't shift out of neutral or park so, as you can imagine, in order to move it we have to push it haha! I was just wondering about how much is it going to cost. I would imagine hundreds of dollars but I was hoping I had enough to get it fixed and on the road!

so here the thing i got a letter in the mail stating that my vehicle has been put in the sheriff data base as a hit and run vehicle.here what happen. As i was pulling out of a neighborhood an on coming car that was speeding slammed on its breaks as he slammed on his break the front of his car hit the ground pretty hard and the front bumper got damage. Only thing was i didn't notice till i got half way down the road. First off the car was speeding.I got a letter in the mail saying its a hit and run. another thing is i remember as to when the accident happen. normally if its a hit and run and the officer has my information normally the sheriff would go to the property to pick up the person that was involved. but instead i received a letter that was made a week after the accident date. and i just received the letter yesterday.

also we just our insurance company so we had no insurance at this time what will happen?


so here my question if i never made contact with the vehicle is it still consider a hit and run. ?
whats the worst case scenario even if i never made contact with the car.?
and base on what ive told you what would most likely happen to me even if i cooperated and offer to pay for the damage ?

I, please ask you to read the WHOLE post before you answer.

First of all, I am a 15 year old male, and I have had a HUUUUGEEE pimple problem ever since I was around 13, and it's getting worse BY THE DAY
Okay, so I HAVE read all these "home remedies" to cure acne. I have tried most of them, some including toothpaste and baking soda with lemon juice.
I can tell you now, that these have absolutely NO EFFECT on me.

Secondly, my parents have had past experiences with acne. My mother's response to this was simply not to touch the pimples/face, and they will go away. My father's response was to wash my face three times a day with oatmeal soap.

I HAVE DONE ALL OF THEM!

Now, you may be saying that it's normal to have acne etc etc, I know. I'm not asking for an "on the spot" permanent cure to my acne, I want tips on how to gradually decrease the acne, that's something I haven't gotten out of my parents as yet. Whenever I ask them to take me to a dermatologist or any skin specialist, they refuse to, because they say the two home remedies are more than enough.

Previously, I was sick, and my parents took me to the doctor. The doctor *NOT A SKIN SPECIALIST* noticed that I had a terrible amount of acne, and he prescribed "Akamin" tablets. They actually made it worse.

Lastly, I am drinking about 7-8+ glasses of water daily, however, I am not exercising, yes, i know, it's something I need to do, and i will.

If you could suggest anything helpful for me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hip flexor injury or just sore?

was warming up for track practice, and while doing an excel I felt a sudden sharp pain on the side of my hip. It was not too painful afterwards so I continued with my workout with only mild-discomfort (actually felt more stretched near the end). After the workout/today there is a bruise on my upper thigh just under the hip (not on the side, but on the front). Its tender to touch. But when I perform the test to see if its a strain, I can pull my knee to my chest with very little to none discomfort at all. I foam rolled, iced, and self massage (could that explain the bruise)

So I have two questions: One does it sound like a strained hip-flexor?
and Two: I did the injury Wednesday and have an important race on Saturday, although its hard to tell from this, you think I'll be good to go?

Is it okay to keep a dog in a shed?

Seeing as they're both in the southern hemisphere, I've been wondering about this. The Test Matches in Australia usually start at the end of November and finish sometime in January (or February when two nations tour). New Zealand's games against England are all going to be back to back in March.

Granted that England have just finished a tour in India but they always tend to be late in the antipodean summer when we play the Kiwi's. If we add six months on to get the northern hemisphere equivalent, Australia's Test series corresponds to being played between May and July in the northern hemisphere whilst this series in New Zealand in March corresponds to being played in our September.

Basically the other day I was talking in class. My teacher told us to be quiet and said it was too noisy. Then we were quiet and started talking again he then said it was too noisy yet again and expected silence for ten minutes. This is where I have my issue. He also added on to that saying '(my name) your voice is so loud and very deep. You sound like a man.' I was extremely offended by this as I do have an issue with my voice. I put my hands to my face and said how embarrassing. He then said to me 'yes it would be. Could you change it because you sound like a man and your a girl.' I was so offended! Now everyone in my year knows about this and the teasing wont stop.... I just want to know, could my teacher say that or was it an uncalled for comment?

Severed spinal chord?

My father was in a motorcycle accident and he severed his spinal chord and got some other major injuries but I was very concerned with the severed spinal chord. Does this mean he will be completely paralyzed?
